On December 17, 1903 Orville and Wilbur Wright flew into history. Orville Wright made the first sustained, controlled powered flight of a heavier than air aircraft. The 1903 Wright Flyer was flown 120 feet in 12 seconds by Orville Wright. The same day Wilbur Wright flew the plane 852 feet.
