JConcepts Razor L.D. 1/8th Buggy | Truck Wing, Gray
Adding to the latest trend of 1:8th off-road wing performance, JConcepts presents the Razor “low drag” wing to an already successful line of Aero products. For the IFMAR Worlds, JConcepts developed a combination wing featuring elements inspired by polycarbonate wings. The use of a single vertical direction side-dam is incorporated into the base wing design, providing better control during high-speed turning and 180-degree corners.
As with all JConcepts wings, the side-dams are recessed for decal placement and increased rigidity. The leading edges of the dams are angled, giving the wing a signature JConcepts look and allowing it to glide through the air with ease. The base of the wing has multiple heights, with a lowered center section that reduces the vehicle's center of mass. Tall center dividers provide stability, and the fangs on the wing echo the design of 1:10th scale off-road wings.
The rear dam transitions twice to improve the vehicle's aerodynamics and consistency during jumps. The wing's underside features a performance core with a center fin and lightweight pocketing to reduce weight. Pre-marked locations allow racers to open the rear dam for better airflow during jumps. A molded grid is integrated into the design to help mount the wing accurately on various 1:8th off-road vehicles.
The Razor L.D. wing is now available in additional colors, including retro pink and red, alongside the standard white, black, yellow, and gray. This expanded lineup offers racers more options for custom paint schemes.
At the 2025 Southern Indoor Championships, Ryan Maifield used the Razor wing to win the 1:8th truck class. Racers reported improved pace, better handling in tight corners, and more consistent performance on jumps.
